Frequently Asked Questions
What does “Include end date” mean?
By default, the calculator counts days starting from the day after the start date. Checking “Include end date” adds one extra day to count both the start and end dates in your calculation. For example, Jan 1 to Jan 3 without the option is 2 days, but with it is 3 days.
How are working days calculated?
Working days exclude Saturdays and Sundays. When you enable “Count working days only,” the calculator counts only Monday through Friday, which is useful for business operations, leave requests, and project timelines.
What is the “Weekend Days” statistic?
This shows the total number of Saturdays and Sundays that fall within your date range. It helps you understand how much of your duration falls on weekends versus weekdays.
Can I calculate age using this tool?
Yes! Set the start date to your birth date and the end date to today (or use the “Today” button). The exact breakdown will show your age in years, months, and days.
Is my data saved or tracked?
No. This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your dates are never sent to any server. All calculations happen locally on your device, ensuring complete privacy.
Why is the total months count different from (years × 12 + remaining months)?
The “Total Months” statistic shows the complete calendar months between the two dates, whereas the exact breakdown shows only the remaining months after full years are counted. Both are valid perspectives on the duration.
