Tipping Guidelines by Country

• USA — 15–20% standard for restaurants; 10–15% for other services.
• Canada — 15–20% at restaurants.
• UK — 10–15% at restaurants; not expected for takeout.
• Australia — 10–15% is appreciated but not mandatory.
• Japan / Taiwan — Tipping is generally not customary and can be considered rude.
