Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between days and working days?

Days count all calendar days (Monday through Sunday), while working days exclude weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Use working days mode for business contexts like project deadlines or employee scheduling.

Why might month/year calculations differ from days?

Months have varying lengths (28-31 days) and years have leap days. The calculator correctly handles these variations. For example, adding 1 month to January 31 gives February 28/29, which is the last day of February.

Can I use this tool for historical dates?

Yes! The calculator works with dates from the year 1900 onwards. Use it to calculate age from birth dates, historical anniversaries, or any date-based calculations you need.

Is my data saved or uploaded anywhere?

No. This calculator runs 100% in your browser. All calculations are done locally on your device, and nothing is sent to any server. Your dates are completely private.

What does “Age from Today” mean in the result?

It shows how many days the calculated result date is from today. Positive means the date is in the future, negative means it’s in the past. This helps you see if your calculated date has already passed.

How are leap years handled?

Leap years (divisible by 4, except century years unless divisible by 400) are automatically accounted for. February 29 is recognized in leap years, and the calculator correctly handles transitions between leap and non-leap years.
